Research Interests
My research interests lie in synthesis of conjugated rigid-rod molecules, in which these molecules can exhibit high fluorescence radiation emission. These molecules are often highly luminescent; some also have the ability to alter important characteristics of light such as its frequency. In addition, it can be controlling and switching information sent as pulses of laser light in modern and next generation fibre optic communication systems and optical computers.
